The cell wall is a non-living rigid structure that is that surrounds the plasma membrane of bacteria, fungi, algae and plant cells.

Explanation:

  • Pectin:-  It is found in the plant cell wall along with other compounds like hemicellulose and proteins. The plant cell wall is chiefly composed of cellulose(insoluble polysaccharides).
  • Chitin:- The fungal cell wall is generally made up of chitin.
  • Suberin and Chitin:- The mature plant cell, the thickening of cell wall occurs due to deposition of suberin and lignin in the secondary wall of the cell wall.

So, with respect to the plant cell wall, chitin is not found.
