Cells present in living organisms differ in numbers, shapes, sizes and function.
- Each cell is made in such a way that it can perform its function easily. For example, a neuron cell has a long structure consisting of dendrites, axon and a cell body to perform its functions. On the other hand, red blood cells are round with a disc shape in the middle which helps in transmitting oxygen.
- Also, the number of each type of cell varies according to the requirement of the function that it performs.
