Cell cycle arrest at a particular phase means the percentage of cells in that phase is increased compared to normal control group. An arrest in S-phase implies that the cell is unable to duplicate its DNA. As a result a decrease in M-phase is expected as well as an increase in g 0 / g 1 phase.
