Generally, most of the pavement cement concrete mix have a compressive strength between 20.68 and 34.47 MPa.
- Concrete's compressive strength is the strength of hardened concrete determined by the test of compression. It is the ability of the concrete to resist loads which tend to compress it.
- The compressive strength of cement is usually 53 Mpa. For pavements it ranges between 20 - 35 but can also go upto 41.
- In concrete pavements, the stresses caused are mainly flexural. Therefore flexural strength in the design of concrete mixes for pavement construction is more commonly defined than compressive force.
