The Central Idea of this poem is that :- this poem shows the love of a selfless mother. Poet had experienced how her mother was stung by the scorpion, in a heavy rainfall night. He expressed the pain of her mother, the peasants(villagers) who were superstitious, how the mother's serves their children without thinking of herself. In this poem we can say that mother's are the walking miracles in everyone's life.
