Given ,

  • The coordinate of centre of a circle is (-5,5)

  • The point through which the circle is passes is (-2,1)

We know that , the equation of circle is given by

 \sf  \fbox{{(R)}^{2}  =  {(x - h)}^{2}  +  {(y - k)}^{2} }

Substitute the known values , we get

(R)² = (-2 - (-5))² + (1 - 5)²

(R)² = (-2 + 5)² + (-4)²

(R)² = (3)² + (4)²

(R)² = 25

R = ± 5 units

{Since , the distance can't be negative}

Thus , the radius of the circle is 5 units
