Step-by-step guide

4/5 + 3/10 + 1/2. =. LCM of the denominators

Lcm of. 5, 10, 2 = 5x2 = 10

Now make all the denominators 10.

4/5 x 2 = 8/10

( 4 x 2 =8 and 5 x 2 = 10)

3/10 (u don't need to do anything cause it's ten already!)

1/2 x 5 = 5/10

(1 x 5 = 5 and 2 x 5 = 10)

Now add only the numerators

8/10 + 3/10 + 5/10

= 6/10
