  • AD = BC.
  • angle ADC = angle BCD = 90°.

To Prove:

∆ADC is congruent to ∆BCD.

Proof:

In ∆ADC and ∆BCD,

  • AD = BC ( given )
  • angle ADC = angle BCD ( each 90° )
  • CD = CD ( common )

By SAS congruency criterion, ∆ADC is congruent to ∆BCD.
