Heya Mate Your answwr is..

Please post The question in a good manner

So very first of all we will select the longest carbon chain, containing highest number of straight linked carbon. We found that, longest chain is having 5 carbon, root word for compound is pent, now the check whether any multiple bomds are present of not? All single bonds so Pentan-, now coming to functional group, the alcohol having higher priority will be given lower numerical value, and it will determine the nature of compound, so name will be pentan-1-ol (ol is suffix used for alcohol). Now we have to place the remaining group ie methyl group and chloro group, counting from -OH linked carbon methyl group are attached to 2nd and 3rd carbon, name will be 2,3-dimethy pentan-1-ol. Now we have chloro group left attached to 4th carbon, so our final name will be

4-Chloro, 2,3-dimethy Pentan-1-ol..

Hope your query is resolved!!

Thanks for reading!
