Percentage of female teachers

Let the total number of teachers be x.

=> According to the Question.


56 % of x = 42

$\frac {56}{100}$ × x = 42

$\frac {14}{25}$ × x = 42

$\frac {14x}{25}$ = 42

14x = 42 × 25

14x = 1050

x = $\frac {1050}{14}$

x = 75


So, the total number of teachers in the school is 75 .
