Given:

1+x and 3x

To Find:

Multiply

Solution:

An algebraic expression is an expression that consists of a variable and a constant or the combination of both and can perform an operation on them such as addition, multiplication, etc.

Every variable has a coefficient attached to them. It can be of different types when it has one term is said to be a monomial expression, for two terms binomial expression and so on.

So the multiplication of 1+x and 3x will be,

=(1+x)3x\\=3x+3x*x\\=3x+3x^2

which is a quadratic equation.

Hence, the multiplication of 1+x and 3x is 3x+3x^2.
