Step-by-step explanation:

24x+4+2x=3(10x-1)

placing x=2 in given equation

24(2)+4+2(2)=3[10(2)-1]

48+4+4=3(19)

56=57

this is contrary

hence x=2 is not correct answer

therefore Chad is claiming wrong

Step-by-step explanation:

When x=2

RHS = 3(10x-1)

= 3[(10(2) -1]

= 3 (20-1)

= 3×19

=57

LHS = 24x + 4 + 2x

=24(2) + 4 + 2(2)

=48+4+4=3(19)

=56

≠ RHS

Therefore, LHS≠RHS

Hence, Chad's claim of x=2 makes the equation true Is false.

Kindly verify my ans from any other external source if needed. Not forcing u to risk on my and cuz exams r up buddy. but go through my working and if u find and fault.. do the needful.
