Given total amount of chalk = 1000g = 1kg

So 10% of 1000g i.e. calcium = 100g

3% of 1000 i.e. Carbon=30g

12% of 1000 i.e. Oxygen = 120g

1 kg of chalk = 1000g

Therefore, Calcium in it =

$\frac{10}{100} \times 1000 \\ \: \: \: \:$

= 100g

Carbon =

$\frac{3}{100} \times 1000$

= 30g

Oxygen in it =

$\frac{12}{100} \times 1000$

= 120g

Calcium = 100g

Carbon = 30g

And Oxygen = 120g
