Let's write the balances as below

30=50-20

15=30-15

6=15-9

0=6-0

Now let's add the balances

30+15+6+0

=50-20+30-15+15-9+6-6

=20+10+30-15+15-9+6-6

=20+15+6+40-15-9-6

=(20+15+6+9)+1

=50+1

=51

This is how you get 1 rupee extra.

Hope it helps

Thanks

Answer:

Your logic is wrong.

Why are you adding the balances?

If I spend the money in a different way..

Like: At first 10 Rs , Then 9 Rs and then 31 Rs

In that case the sum of the balances will be changed.( 40 + 31 + 0 = 71 Rs)

So, can I say that (71-50)= 21 Rs is extra ??
