Answer:

Direct object : The direct object is that subject acts upon . ( this is an easy definition). Or In a sentence, the direct object is the noun or noun phrase that's receiving the action of the verb .The basic construction works like this:

subject+ verb+ who or what

for ex: I gave a book to rama

here, the book is the direct object as the subject acts action upon it

when we ask question by "what"

like , what did I gave to rama

you will get the answer

" the book"

Indirect object: An object that represents the person or thing that receives what is given or done.

for ex ( I will take same ex as the above one) I gave a book to rama

here, rama is indirect object

when we ask question by whom we get answer " rama"
