Cost of two pencils and 3 erasors is rupees 18 where as the cost of one pencil and 2 eraser is rupees 11 .find the cost of each pencil.

now cost of 2 pencil and 3 erasers = 18
than cost of 1 .......................2...............= 11
so, the cost of 1 ....................1...............= 18-11=7
then when we subtract one pencil and erasor from from one pencil and two erasors we get only one eraser .
cost of 1pecil, 2erasor - cost of 1pecil, 1erasor = cost of one erasor
Rs. 11-7 = cost of one erasor
so cost of one erasor = Rs. 4
so............... 3 = 3*4 = Rs. 12
than cos Tod 2 pencils = 18-12 = Rs. 6
therefore cost of one pencil = 6/2=Rs. 3
