not sure.....

Simplifying

5(3x + 5) = 130

Reorder the terms:

5(5 + 3x) = 130

(5 * 5 + 3x * 5) = 130

(25 + 15x) = 130

Solving

25 + 15x = 130

Solving for variable 'x'.

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add '-25' to each side of the equation.

25 + -25 + 15x = 130 + -25

Combine like terms: 25 + -25 = 0

0 + 15x = 130 + -25

15x = 130 + -25

Combine like terms: 130 + -25 = 105

15x = 105

Divide each side by '15'.

x = 7

Simplifying

x = 7
