Explanation :

Let us assume the block numbers be as follow :

13    14     15     16

• The first step should be towards the box present in the side. And there, we covered the 2nd box.

• Then, should be back towards the first block which has no big. Consider that our path has started from block 2 and then to block 1.

• From 1, go straight down, vertically.

       The path covered 2 → 1 → 5 → 9 → 13

• Move to the box next to 13 and then keep moving on an upward direction till 6.

       The path covered 2 → 1 → 5 → 9 → 13 → 14 → 10 → 6

• Then, move to the right side block, then to the top block, thereby to the next right block.

       2 → 1 → 5 → 9 → 13 → 14 → 10 → 6 → 7 → 3 → 4

• Move 2 blocks in a downward direction and then, move left by 1 block, thereby 1 block down, and then, one block right and then straight out!

       2 → 1 → 5 → 9 → 13 → 14 → 10 → 6 → 7 → 3 → 4 → 8 → 12 → 11 → 15 → 16

With an exceptional move on the first part, we can successfully give a path to the man, to get out, following the given condition. Else, impossible!
