Challenges provide opportunities for progress. Challenges which we face are steps to progress. When we overcome a challenge then we reach to higher level and we get a confidence face some more challenges.

For example,

Maintaining India as a secular country is an challenge.If we want to make India a secular country we should not give priority to any religion in country as many religions are followed by Indians. If we are successful in maintaining India a secular country then the Secularism is successful and the next stage to expansion of democracy is ready.

Challenges in democracy makes the government more powerful...

We have learnt in ' Chapter 7 : Outcomes of democracy ' that democracy is always writing a test, it's a challenge for democracy. When democracy finishes one test, it's get another test, all these tests are challenges and when democracy finishes each challenge it is getting better by itself.

We know three challenges faced by democracy , when it overcomes first challenge , it's get little better than before and it get second challenge , as its completing challenges , democracy is deepening.

One of the major problem and challenge faced by India is poverty , when India overcomes poverty , many lower sections get faired and discrimination also decreases .... and increases unity , which is a subject of DEMOCRACY....
