skirts is two less than twice the number of pants purchased. Also, the number of skirts
is four less than four times the number of pants purchased”. Help her friends to find
how many pants and skirts Champa bought

So lets take that she purchased "x" pants and "y" skirts.

y=2x-2    .........case 1
y=4n-4    ...............case 2

subtracting case 1 from case 2
 y-y=(4n-4)-(2n-2)

====  4n - 4 + 2n + 2
======2n-2

Therefore x=1 and y=0

 Therefore champa purchased 1 pant and no skirt.
