Chana and Josiah started skating at the same time in the same direction, but Josiah had a head start 101010 meters past the starting line. Chana skated 333 meters per second and Josiah skated 222 meters per second. Here's a graph that shows a system of equations for this scenario where xxx is the number of seconds since Chana and Josiah started skating and yyy is the distance in meters from the starting line.

Given : Chana and Josiah started skating at the same time in the same direction, but Josiah had a head start 10 m .  Chana skated 3  meters per second and Josiah skated 2  meters per second

To find  : Show the graph

Solution:

Josiah head a head start of 10 m

hence at x = 0   josiah distance from starting line = 10 m

Josiag speed = 2 m /s

Hence Distance covered by josiah in  x secs  = 2x  m

y  = 2x + 10

(josiah  graph line )

Chana speed = 3 m/s

at x = 0   chana is at starting line

Distance covered by Chana in  x secs  =3x  m

y = 3x

( chana Graph Line)

After 10 secs josiah and chana are at equal distance
