Its greater in normal fields than forested areas because in normal open fields there are no plants and trees the soil erosion is mainly based on no proper hold. The hold is naturally created by the trees from the roots and open fields dont have much plants and trees which means no roots so no hold , this is why soil erosion is greater in open fields.
