Given,

Cost of sugar 1 per kg = Rs 15

Cost of sugar 2 per kg = Rs 18

Cost of final mixture per kg = Rs 16

To Find,

The ratio of quantities of type 1 sugar to type 2 sugar =?

Solution,

Cost of sugar of type 1  = C1 = Rs 15

Cost of sugar of type 2  = C2 =Rs 18

Mean of both quantities = Rs 16

The ratio of quantities of both sugars = (C2 - Mean) / (Mean - C1)

The ratio of quantities of type 1 sugar to type 2 sugar = (18 - 16) / (16 - 15)

The ratio of quantities of type 1 sugar to type 2 sugar = 2 / 1

Hence, the ratio of quantities of type 1 sugar to type 2 sugar  is 2:1
