chandanipurchase some parrots. 20%flew away and 5%died. Of the remaining,45% were sold. Now 33 parrots remain. how many parrots had purchased?​

Let the no. of parrots Chandani purchased be 'x'.

Percentage of parrots flew away = 20%

No. of parrots flew away = 20x/100 = x/5

Percentage of parrots died = 5%

No. of parrots died = 5x/100 = x/20

No. of parrots remaining = x-(25x/100) = x-(x/4) = 3x/4

Percentage of parrots sold from the remaining = 45%

No. of parrots sold = (45/100)×(3x/4) = 27x/80

No. of parrots remaining= (3x/4) -(27x/80)=(60x-27x)/80=33x/80

Given, no. of parrots remaining = 33

So,

33x/80=33

then, x = 33×80/33

then, x = 80

Ans: Chandani purchased 80 parrots.
