The Lander Vikram is not lost but it's the communication with the orbiter and the operating space center ISRO which has been lost. The main cause is not yet known by the scientists but they told that at the height of 2.1 km from the moon surface, the Lander Vikram deviated a little from its original path when it was travelling with a speed of 60 m/s.There is a possibility that with this speed the Lander Vikram might have crashed on to the Moon's surface. But the actual fate of the Lander Vikram will be known only when the orbiter will come near to the landing site and take the high resolution photographs of the surface where the Lander is said to have crashed.
