Rules for changing direct Into indirect speech :-

●In direct speech , the actual words of the speaker are put within inverted commas (" ").

● The reported speech is seperated from the reported clause by a comma (,) or colon (:).

● The first word of the reported speech begins with a capital letter.

● in the indirect speech , no inverted commas are used.

● The comma at the end of the reporting verb is removed.

● The reported speech begins with some conjunctions like , that , if etc.

● The tense of the reporting clause is never changed . But the verb changes according to the tense.

● Only full stop is used at the end of the indirect speech. There are no interrogative or exclamation marks.
