For a one end close tube ,

Intial length of the vessel( one end close tube ) is "H"

Then frequency(f)

= F= V / 4H-----(1) .....where V is velocity of sound in air

As it's partially filled the vibrating length of the vessel becomes H/2

Therefore ,

New frequency ( F')

F'= V/ 4(H/2)-----(2)

(1)/(2),

F / F' = 1/2

F'= 2F

Therefore change in frequency

F' >F

F'-F = 2F- F= F
