★Change in temperature★

Temperature. In everyday terms, temperature is a measure of the "hotness" or "coldness" of a substance. More technically, temperature indicates the direction in which energy flows (as heat) when two objects are in thermal contact: energy flows as heat from a high temperature region to a low temperature region.

E.g.

  • evolution of gas= reaction between zinc and dilute sulphuric acid.
  • change in color = reaction between citric acid and purple color potassium permanganate.
  • change in temperature = reaction between zinc granules and dilute hydrochloric acid.
