Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: She is completing the notes. (Active)

The notes are being completed by her. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.

Open your book at page ten. (Active)

Let your book be opened at page ten. (Passive)

Question :--- Change in voice "open your book at page ten".

There are two basic rules for converting sentences from Active Voice into Passive Voice, which are common for all tenses :---

1) The places of subject and object will be interchanged in the sentence.

Active voice :- Sub. + have/has + P.P.form of verb + obj.

Passive voice:- Sub.(obj.) + have been/has been + P.P. form of verb + prepositional by + obj.(Sub.)

2) Only 3rd form of the verb or Past Participle (e.g. written) will be used as a main verb in Passive Voice.
