\huge\mathfrak\pink{⤷ } How to change passive voice to active voice?

Answer :)

\huge\mathfrak\pink{ ⤷} To change passive voice to active voice, make the agent of the sentence into the subject, and turn the old subject into the object. For example, this is a passive sentence: “The article is being read by most of my class.” The agent is most of my class, and the subject is the article.

What is voice?

Voice refers to the 'Who' or 'What' that is doing the verb's action in a given sentence.

There are two types of voices in English:

☆Active voice:-

Active voice means that a sentence has a subject that acts upon its verb.

Focus- On the subject doing the action.

Example- Monkeys adore bananas.

Sentence structure: Subject + Verb + Object

☆Passive voice:-

Passive voice means that a subject is the recipient of a verb's action.

Focus- On the action done by the subject.

Example- Bananas are adored by the monkeys.

Sentence structure: Object + Verb + Subject

There are five steps to change the voice of a sentence from active voice to passive voice:

  • Identity the subject, verb and object.

  • Swap the positions of subject and object keeping the verb in its place.

  • Change the verb to its third form.

  • Add a helping verb before the main verb.

  • Add "by" before the subject.
