I have a pen, which is blue.

Although the sky was overcast, it didn’t rain.

When you change a simple sentence into a complex sentence, you should use the conjunctions and joining words to make it complex.

You should words like as, if, as soon as, etc.

A complex sentence contains one main clause and one or more clauses which are dependent on the main one.
