The meaning of the substance of the speakers word is called

Note:-
When the given sentence is universal fact then the sentence can't be changed.
Ex:- The sun rises in the east.
Rules for changing Direct speech into Indirect speech:-
★ The inverted commas are omitted in the direct speech .
★ The tense of the reporting verb should never be changed.
★ We use linker before the Indirect speech.
★ The first letter with an inverted commas will not remind capital in the invited speech .
★ The pronoun should be changed according to the sense of speech.

He said that he did it.
➡️The boy will say, "I am busy."
The boy will say that he is busy.
➡️The officer shouted to his man, "Halt!"

There are the two ways of reporting the words of a speaker____ the direct speech and the indirect speech.
Direct speech:-
Direct speech reports the exact words of the speaker.
Indirect speech:-
In indirect speech report what the speaker said without quoting his / her exact words.
Note:-
In the forms of direct speech:-
❐The exact words of the speaker are repeated.
❐The words of the speaker are enclosed with inverted commas.
❐The introductory verb is said.
In the forms of indirect speech:-
❐The speakers word are reported by someone in his or her words.
❐Since the exact words of the speaker not reproduced , the inverted commas are removed.
❐The introductory verb is usually said or told.
