Some rules while converting imperative sentences which are in direct speech to indirect speech:

  • Imperative verb is used instead of reporting verb.

  • Inverted commas are always removed while changing direct speech to indirect speech.

  • Reporting speech is followed by infinitive 'to'.

  • First person pronoun is changed into second person pronoun.

  • Some other mandatory changes can be observed.
