Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: She is cleaning my room. (Active)

My room is being cleaned by her. (Passive)

NOTE: If the sentence conveys a habitual action/contains an intransitive verb, it cannot be changed to passive mode.

1. He asked me to wait.

  • I was asked to wait by him.

2. She is running a school these days.

  • A school is being run by her these days.

3. Did you grow vegetables?

  • Were vegetables grown by you?

4. Did they not tell you to be here by 7 o'clock?

  • Were you not told by them to be here by 7 o'clock?

5. I had never seen such a lovely sight before.

  • Such a lovely sight had never been seen by me before.

6. People will remember him.

  • He will be remembered by people.

7. They will not disobey me.

  • I will not be disobeyed by them.

8. Do they like their teachers?

  • Are their teachers liked by them?

9. Ramesh will not have finished the project next month.

  • The project will not have been finished by Ramesh next month.

10. The judge is looking into the matter.
