Active Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject is performing the action.

Passive Voice refers to a sentence in which the subject undergoes the action. In other words, it is writing the sentence in reverse order.

Example: She is singing a song. (Active)

               A song is being sung by her. (Passive)

NOTE: Sentences that convey habitual actions cannot be changed to passive mode.

  • Mahesh is known by Saras. (Passive)

2. Do cricketers follow rules? (Active)

  • Are rules followed by cricketers? (Active)

3. Shakti is demanding her car. (Active)

  • Her car is being demanded by Shakti. (Passive)
