Voice is the form of verb showing if the subject does the action.

Kind of Voice :-

  • Active Voice
  • Passive Voice

Active Voice :- When the subject acts, the verb is ACTIVE or in the ACTIVE VOICE.

Example :- Dipa does the dishes.

Passive Voice :- When the subject doesn't do the action the verb is PASSIVE or in the PASSIVE VOICE.

Example :- The dishes are done by Dipa.

Present Continuous Tense :-

The present continuous tense tells of an action going on now (not yet completed).

Uses :-

  • An action going on at present and not yet completed.
  • Happening in near future.

Rules :-

Subject + am, is, are + verb-ing ( Fist form ) + object.

  • I (Subject) → Me (Object)

  • We (Subject) → Us (Object)

  • You (Subject) → You (Object)

  • He (Subject) → Him (Object)

  • She (Subject) → Her (Object)

  • They (Subject) → Them (Object)

Examples :-

1) I like coffee.

  • Coffee is liked by me.

2) We saw an elephant.

  • An elephant was seen by us.

3) You should read text.

  • The text should be read by you.

4) He has spoilt the picture.

  • The picture has been spoilt by him.

5) She is reading a book.

  • A book is being read by her.

6) They agreed to my plan.

  • My plan was agreed to by them.
