Every sentence has a subject, a verb and an object.
In Active voice, the subject acts upon the object.
And in passive voice, the object is acted upon the voice. But the meaning remains the same in both the voices.
Active- Why were they not feeding the poor?
Passive- Why were the poor not being fed by them?
