Explanation:

27 g of Al3+ means = 27 / 26.9798 moles = 1.00075 moles. Ions in 1.00075 moles = 1.00075 x 6.022 x 1023 = 6.026 x 1023 ions. Charge on each ion = 3 x 1.602 x 10-19 = 4.806 x 10-19 coulombs. So, charge of 27g of Al3+ ions = 6.026 x 1023 x 4.806 x 10-19 coulombs = 2.896 x 105 Coulombs

we have to find the change of 27g of Al³⁺ ion in fardays.

solution : we see, Al³⁺ (aq)  + 3e⁻  ⇔ Al (s)

one mole of aluminium ions change into aluminium using three moles of electrons.

here, mass of aluminium ions = 27g

atomic mass of alumium = 27g/mol

no of moles of aluminium ions = 27g/27g/mol = 1 mol

so the no of moles of electrons = 3 × 1 = 3 moles

according to Faraday's law,

1 mole of electrons is equivalent to 96500 C.

so, three moles of electrons are equivalent to 96500 C × 3 = 289500 C

Therefore, change of 27g of Al³⁺ ions is in faradays is 289500 C.
