When Calcium carbonate, CaCO3 heated above 840C⁰ it decomposes to Calcium oxide, CaO a grayish white solid and can't be reversed with same reactants. Thus a chemical change.
CaCO3 (Pure white) --heat--> CaO (grayish white) + CO2
