The relation between polar coordinates

and rectangular coordinates

(x,y)

are given by

and hence

r=√x2+y2

Hence

r=6sinθ

is nothing but

r×r=6sinθ×r

or

r2=6rsinθ

or

x2+y2=6y

or

x2+y2−6y=0
