Change sentences into Simple Past tense as per given form in the bracket.

1. My uncle brought a wrist watch for me. [negative of ‘brought’]

  • My uncle did not bring a wrist watch for me.

Negative sentences:

Negative sentences are a declarative or assertive sentences. They are especially formed by adding 'not' in the sentence.

Example:

  1. She is not well today.
  2. We have no holiday today.
  3. Sita does not sing well.
  4. It may not rain today he must not go there.

As we have to change the sentence into simple past we will use did not and the verb 'bring' should be in simple present because a verb followed by 'did' should be in simple present.

2. Sanju danced well last night. [interrogative of ‘danced’]

  • Did Sanju dance well last night ?

Interrogative sentences

Interrogative sentences are the one which asks a question and are ended with the question mark or a question mark is placed at the end of every interrogative sentence.

Example:

  1. Am I poor?
  2. Does he play cricket?
  3. Do children like sweets?
  4. Did he do his duty?
  5. Did she go for a walk?
