1. Change comparative degree to positive degree .

  1. Rohan is intelligent
  2. Roads in kolkata are crowded
  3. Steel is heavy
  4. Rivers are long

Note : All the comparative terms would be removed and just a single thing with no Comparison would be intact . As positive degree itself means no comparison between anything or anyone.

2. Change into other two forms

(Pattern followed)

Positive Degree / Comparative degree

  1. Ashoka was a great king / No king is greater than Ashoka
  2. Cow is a useful animal / No other Animal is more useful than cow.
  3. J.K. Rowling is a successful author / No other author is as successful as JK Rowling
  4. Mumbai is a big city / No city is bigger than Mumbai

Note :

Comparative degree means the degree of adjectives what two things are compared to each other depending on their characteristics , basis of comparison , etc. Words such as than are used for comparison .

Superlative Degree means the degree of adjectives where everything in the world is compared to a single thing depending on its characteristics and other common features .

Hence all the above sentences can be considered correct in the sense of comparison .
