To change direct speech into direct, remove commas, replace it with 'that', and also change the pronoun and tense.

Indirect sentences:

  1. Ramesh says that he has done his work.
  2. They say that they will play football.
  3. Gopal says that I cannot play well.
  4. Rashmi says that her sister is a doctor.
  5. Tara and nishi say that they do not watch movies.

If the narrator's speech is in the present tense, the tense of the remaining part doesn't change.
