Given : 2x+3y=6

To find :  intercept form

Solution:

2x + 3y = 6

Divide both sides by 6

=> 2x/6  + 3y/6  = 6/6

=> x/3  +  y/2  =  1

x/3  +  y/2  =  1  is the intercept form  of  equation 2x+3y=6

2x + 3y = 6

at x = 0      y  = 2    =>  y intercept = 2

at y = 0      x  = 3    => x intercept = 3

x/(x intercept)   + y/(y intercept) = 1

x/3  +  y/2  =  1
