ii. the task should be completed.

Their structures are different from active, as in active, the subject is 'you' in the first example, but in passive case, the subject changes to 'the task'. In the second example we can see that in the first example the sentence is an order to someone specific, whereas in passive, it is not specifically telling anyone to do anything.
