Answer: She asked if/whether I had seen her sister the previous day.

ii. My teacher said, "What is your father doing these days?"

Answer: My teacher asked what my father was doing those days.

Rules

  1. When we report in our own words then it is known as Indirect speech.
  2. When we report a question in Indirect speech then we use 'asked' instead of 'said'.
  3. 'Yesterday' will change to 'previous day'.
  4. 'These' will change to 'those'.
