Active Voice :

The shopkeeper gave me two kilos of sugar.

Passive Voice :

Two kilos of sugar was given by the shopkeeper to me.

Format :

  • Subject of active voice changes to object of passive voice.

  • Here, Simple Past ( gave) is changed into Past continuous ( was given ) with verb's 3rd form.

  • Additional object ( secondary object ) ' me ' is added by using the infinitive ' to '.
