Change the form of narration :

(i) Shivam said, "We are moving into a new house".

(ii) He said, "Let us go out for a walk".

(iii) The old man said, "Alas! my only son is dead".​

(i) Shivam said that they were moving into a new house.

The aforementioned sentence is an assertive sentence.  

(ii) He suggested that we should go for a walk.

The above sentence is an imperative sentence.

(iii) The old man exclaimed with sorrow that his only son was dead!

The above sentence is an exclamatory sentence.

All of these are different types of meaningful sentences.
