The narration of the given sentences can be changed as shown below:

1. Alexander asked Porus how he desired to be treated. Porus replied that he wanted to be treated like a king.

2. The boys said, "Hurrah! We have all passed the test and we shall celebrate our success tomorrow.

Explanation

First part of the 1 sentence was an interrogative case. When we convert an interrogative sentence starting with wh- word, we don’t add any conjunction such as ‘that’, ‘if’ etc. We just use the wh-word and turn the question into statement. The other tense and pronoun changes are applied as per the reported speech rules.

Second part of the 1 sentence was a statement. When we change the narration of a simple statement, we do the following changes in the given sentence:

a.  We connect reporting verb clause with quoted speech (direct speech) using 'that'

b.  We change the tense of the quoted speech into the past tense.

c.  We change the pronouns according to the subject and object.

Second sentence was an exclamatory sentence. When we convert an exclamatory direct speech into indirect speech, we remove ‘How’ or ‘What’ and put ‘very’ in front of the adjective. For example, the exclamatory sentence ‘How intelligent she is!’ will change into ‘She is very intelligent.’

The rest of the tense and pronoun conversion are applied as per the rules of the direct-indirect speech.
