- A class was taken by me.

2. The shopkeeper was closing the shop.

- The shop was being closed by the shopkeeper.

3. What were they searching for?

- What was being searched by them?

4. Who was looking into the matter?

- By whom was the matter being looked into?

Here you go for some additional information :

In active voice the format is like :

Subject - Verb - Object.

When a sentence is turned to passive voice the formal will be like :

⟹ Object - Verb - Subject.

We observe that the place of the object and the subject is interchanged in the above format when a sentence is turned to passive voice.

Note : Verb should be changed to 3rd form.
